works for me,.. 3 in 3 years is too many right in a row.  i need a break at the very least.  

new IPs are good.  the studio is still the studio so i don't expect their next game to be a unicorn petting zoo simulator.  whatever they have planned next will probably be something i want to play so bring on the new concept.  please come back to "souls" but not for at least a few years,.. come back when you can find a way to make it feel new again.

Miyazaki, though. The dude joined From in 2004 as a programmer. Then became a director. He directed two of the later Armored Core games, a series already ruined, but then tackled a new IP. Which was Demon's Souls. Basically, I'm excited to see what's next because of him. Not the studio. It seems when this guy gets to make his own creation, he creates gold every time. Really eager to see if his genius is real or if he just got lucky with a formula that happened to work.

I can see why FromSoftware has to work on new IPs though.  Armoured Core games are terribly boring for the most part.  They don't want to burn out any of the souls IP.  So they need something new.

The whole Souls thing from them has run its course. A lot of other studios are now going to try and emulate that. We've already had a couple and Nioh looks like the next attempt. There will be plenty of games in this little subgenre and I'm sure a couple of them will manage to at least adequately capture the spirit. It just won't be From Software making them for a long time, if not anymore. I want to see where Miyazaki can go next. What I'm very interested in now is seeing if Verendus was telling the truth about a 3-game exclusivity deal with Sony. He claimed Bloodborne was the first and wasn't sure there would be a sequel. Though he was sure the next Sony exclusive with From would not be. So From and Miyazaki confirm a new IP in the works and right now there are two trademark filings by Sony for Days Gone and The Sentinel with no clue who might be working on them.

It's so oversaturated but to long term fans they keep going in the wrong direction. I fear Demon Souls was lightning in a bottle and they'll fail to come up with anything as well received if it's significantly different.

Froms next game might be a multiplat with a PSVR release (or the end of this video might be refering to more than one game)

Probably just a normal game with forced PSVR mode.

as the video Dernerbel showed, it seems they are making a multiplate with PS VR integration, or maybe if verrendus rumors were true, that they are making 3 PS4 exclusive games, they are possibily working on a PS4 exclusive with PSVR support (or PSVR exclusive) and that might be their new IP

what ever it is, i really really do hope that their games from now on have a lot of western appeal, like bloodborne and souls games did.

If they can wait 2 years for Bloodbourne 2 I think 2018 would be good for a sequal. Gives them time to flesh out a sequal they can expand upon and not like assasins creed.

yeah i wouldnt mind waiting for a sequel as long as its done and dont right. but its really sad that Miyazaki wont be doing it. i just hope it can be almost as good as the first if anyone from FromSoftware decides to do it.

On chapter 16 in unchartered 3 remastered.  It feels like I've watched 2 movies at this stage.  It's such a great long adventure.  And the graphics are incredible.  

Looking forward to finishing it and mopping up all the trophies before uncharted 4 comes out.
