Sony were wise to skip gamescom.  

MS conference was meh and it's way to close to e3. You need that gap where people really want more plus now is too far away from Xmas hype.  

Sony will be licking their lips.  The ball is in their court and they can plan accordingly.

Wouldn't be surprised if MS skip gamescom for Paris from next year on. Only thing is Germany is a major pc market and they want to target them.

I'd agree with this but Sony has bigger games to show off.  

TGS is likely to be the big one for PlayStation.  

Then PSX to end the year.
