So I was thinking about some of my favourite games so far this gen and what metascores they have and these are the games I thought of off the top of my head:

Uncharted 4 (93 meta)
Bloodborne (92)
Driveclub (71)
AC Black Flag (83)
Rocket League (85)
DA Inquisition (89)
Pokemon Sun (87)
Undertale (92)
AC Syndicate (76)
Watch Dogs (80)
Far Cry 4 (85)
Infamous SS (80)
Transistor (83)

Looking at this told me two things... one is that this gen is quite low scoring in terms of my favourite games. Some of those scores I was shocked to see so low. The second is that 88 is super high and is only behind 4 games on that list and ahead of 9.

When I'm thinking of the 'top' games of the gen (for last gen) I mostly think of only the 90+ games. This sort of puts that into perspective for me.

AC syndicate deserved better than a 76.    One of my favorites with only AC 2 and AC black flag being ahead of it.  Nothing has touched the level of awesomeness of AC 2.

Crazy the downplaying of some people on gaf about horizons reviews though! fudgy insane.

I'm going to be interested to see how Nier does too. It's currently sitting at #19 on Amazon and will be added in the next update. Sony really are dominating at the moment.

Oh yeah I love syndicate. I thought it was one of the best AC games and a massive improvement over Unity. The score it has is pretty shocking

We haven't gotten a score from Edge yet have we?  Isn't edge weighted heavily on metacritic?  If it's at least a 9.5 or 10 will it jump to an 89?

I think it's weighted fairly heavily. But I'm not sure when the next round of Edge reviews is going to come out, might be a couple more weeks.

Edge takes close to 1 month to update...

And yes... Edge dragged FFXV to 81 with a 7/10... it have heavy weigh.

AC Sydnicate and Black Flag are great games.

The ships and pirate themes were so great in Black Flag. No AC game since has interested me except Rogue.

I'm really hoping the next AC is in Japan just because it'd allow them to have ship combat again.
