Destiny week up. PS4 472k, Xb1 171k. PS4 seems about right, perhaps a little low in US but XB1 seems way too high, no way it only sold 60k less than PS4 in US.

us seems fine to me.   we saw via amazon that xbox got a big boost.  destiny is by bungie which probably triggered a lot of halo fans to upgrade and it is fair to expect many to jump to Xbox One.

i'm not sure i buy Xbox One's europe numbers tbh.  seems low to me.  to be frank destiny should have been a bigger boost to xbox in europe than the teir 2 countries launch.

yeah it did get a big boost but it climbed to below the Destiny bundle for about a week, when the bundle had been selling higher than that for months. The yearly ranking shows Destiny bundle has sold more than TF bundle, if that was true how on Earth is the gap only 60k?

Europe numbers seem good, its still a 20k boost above its normal baseline.

dang, I love being right. Anyone remember my 450-500k prediction?

Also, US doesn't seem too low imo. The PS Blog post talked about this being the highest selling week since Christmas which implied 100-150k based on VGC data.

Christmas period, <300k

According to VGChartz we're half the way there with 3 weeks to go. 200k+ needed each week for the next 3, seems doable. Perhaps PS4 has its last sub 200k week of this year behind it. Just noticed Europe PS4 is higher than US, that just doesn't seem right. I'd agree with these numbers if PS4 US was a little bit higher.

75K undertrack in globally in the US is my guess.

That's called spinning. Christmas week (what we call "Christmas") was just over 150k.

Yeah with the FIFA boost it can do it, probably.

Well I took it as meaning the period, which it clearly could mean. There's no way PS4 did less than 150k in US

Dr. Pezus

No, since he was talking about weeks. You can't compare a week to a random period!

Well VGC could be slightly off with Christmas week which would make the 162k for Destiny week believable.

Dr. Pezus

Btw, PS4 with 69% marketshare this week! Domination
