Depending on the application intel has a big advantage.
Particularly on emulators, and maybe on SLI.

Okay, I think I'm going to run down to get an SSD. What would be the best/easiest solution to get windows to run on it. Copy over my current hard drive, or just install windows on the sdd and move over files I want to run off the ssd?

Second one. Best by far. Do a fresh install and just move everything that you need to run fast to the ssd

Ditto.

Transferring the entire drive can cause so many issues both short and long term.

That what I did, or should I say tring to do. I'm having an issue getting windows to install. I'm fudgy using doss right now if that tells you anything...

We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one" error.

This is my error.

Following these steps

Start Command Prompt
Type In:
DISKPART
LIST DISK and identify your disk number (from 0 to n disks)
SELECT DISK <n> where <n> is the disk number
CLEAN ALL (Will Take Some Time)
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY ALIGN=1024
FORMAT FS=NTFS (Will Take Some Time)
ASSIGN LETTER=M
ACTIVE
EXIT
EXIT
[ Immediately Terminate Install Process Completely ]
And
Reboot using Installation DVD.
Do NOT reformat during installation process

Staring at disk part > clean all

Been about 15 mins, about to run and grab a bottle of crown.

Would have been nice if his instructions were correct.  Got it figured out. But still.

Okay fudge the internet! People don't know what they are talking about and it wasted a bunch of my time. All I had to do was delete the partition and insall to unallocated disk.

Got everything working. Now I guess it's time to download drivers and such. Fun!

having fun with rovers,   built a new one to land on Duna,   placed it on my tried and tested delivery system.  and causes it to instantly flip over and smash into the ground every time..  I spent an hour trying to figure out wtf wat going on..

it didnt like the parts i had selected as my base in the contruction hanger..  I changed it to 2 random sections of my rocket in the middle and it flys no problem.. lol ffs an hour wasted on something so stupidly small lol

The SSD upgrade seems to have cut my boot time in half. About 20 seconds till I can enter my password for windows. My MB bios takes longer to do it's thing than it does to load windows now.

Sweet.

So you have it all working?

yeah, but it seems I can't actually use anything on the old drive. So I got to figure that out. I may have to nuke it i'm not sure. Like I want to run the latest games off the ssd and the old ones off the standard drive. I can't seem to be able to do that right now.
