Jez Corden of Windows Central Lied About Knowing NPD Figures : PS4

Looks like it's battleship, it appears he got his numbers from mooch or crudgamer. Also I find it laughable that people take Greenberg retweeting the article as proof that this is true, I don't trust Greenberg for a second, that man will openly lie in your face if it suits him.

Xevross

Yeah I really don't think those numbers are true. Its all so fishy and Greenberg retweeting doesn't prove anything at all.

The author has gone to reddit (just check the link I posted earlier) to explain himself further. Guess the numbers are true after all.

I'm going to see if Aquamarine does reappear next month to reveal the numbers because the Windows Central site is still a bit shady to me. Same with Aaron Greenberg.

Not to say they're both wrong, but considering their reputation, I can't automatically believe them.

Sounds bullshitish honestly. "I like to interject balance" lol... No such thing with crud

The alleged number for the PS4 seems funny because based on the PS4's 50 million sold-through figure, YTD WW sales are still up YOY.

The PS4 was already down YOY in the US and Windows Central's numbers suggest that the PS4 is down by another ~430K units from last November.

Add onto Sony's "Best BF in PS history" PR, if the PS4 really sold 1.1 million, then the rest of the world must have really picked up the slack by a whole lot.

I should point out that some GAF members suggest that Sony's PR meant that they had the best BF ever in terms of revenue. However, this is very unlikely because the software offerings last month were terrible compared to last November. Infinite Warfare was down by 50%. Last November, there were Black Ops 3, Fallout 4, and Star Wars Battlefront.

And with price drops I can't see that happening. Unless the ps4 is supercheap to manufacture now.

Not sure about that. I've seen people say that MS had better Black Friday deals, so that would have shifted things in their direction. December seems even, with both going down $50 starting tomorrow until Christmas. Also the PS4 won Cyber Monday, which counted towards December.

Cyber Monday is bigger than BF online. PS4 still has an early advantage though.

The thing is, only pushing a million in November wouldn't even be a decent November for Xbox One in the US. That's hundreds of thousands less than they've done in the last two holiday seasons outside of launch, if I remember correctly. That number should be alarming that even with a supposedly hot item like the Xbox One S being sold under $300 and with games like Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 releasing, they only barely scraped a million.
