As much as I want to work at ND I'm such a fan of their games that I don't know if I would want to have that ruined just for the sake of working there.  Working on this would be amazing, but I probably wouldn't be as big a fan if I did though.

He might definitely die, but not between games.  Having Ellie as the main character is fantastic.  It and horizon are leading in creating amazing woman as main characters.  

dead at the begining of the game,.. chapter 6 is a flashback scene in which we witness his death.  seems like ND to me.

I doubt that. Rape on its own is already way too touchy a subject, but she's also talking about "them" in the trailer. They are not going to make Ellie the victim of a gangrape, that'd just be way too iced up and off putting for tons people.

in the first game, the attempted rape really affected her. it may have become her biggest fear. and having her biggest fear realized might cause her to go on a vengeance crusade. she doesnt have to be gangraped. but bandit come in their zone, kill people, leaders rapes her, then they run away. and thus, she is filled with hatred.

I mean it's possible but I still doubt it, rape as the main driving force behind the motivation of a main character in a game that will be as mainstream as this just isn't a great idea from a marketing perspective.

Nah, ND is very concerned with marketing and marketability of their games, remember that's why Uncharted became what it is today.
