Amazon Sales Thread - December 2016

Ps4 outselling the xb1 by an average of 100k in December and including the next 3 weeks that's likely to continue. They said Japan doesn't matter this gen but it actually gives ps4 a bigger lead then the USA does.

In terms of who wins sales wise Japan is a massive factor.

Yeah Japan this year has been a big contributor to the gap between PS4 and XB1. The amount XB1 has gained in the US this year is much less than the amount PS4 has gained in Japan. So just looking at those two countries the gap increase is accelerating.

Quoting my own post because Valkyria Revolution is going to be localized for the PS4, XBO, and PSV. Let's see how the XBO userbase responds to this opportunity.

The initial reaction that I see at least in this part of the Xbox community is hilariously typical. Everywhere else on Reddit the discussion in the threads on this topic is filled by skepticism from people that actually played the original and kept an eye on what they are doing (and most importantly changing) with this game, meanwhile on r/xboxone it's all just pure hype and "Day 1", "pre ordering now", "please buy this if you care about JRPGs" type of comments. It's totally obvious that they have no real clue about this game and are only "hyped" because it's a JRPG on their system.

I heard that the second demo turned out to be worse than the first. Well, let's see if the XBO fans put the money where their mouths are because if the XBO version sells below the minimum print order, then forget about any more JRPGs coming to the XBO/Scorpio.

You know the xb1 hasn't actually gained anything in 2016 over the ps4? The ps4 has outsold it this year in the US.

But the gains made my ps4 in Japan this year are a lot higher than the gains ps4 made in the USA.

By gains I mean the change in the sales difference YOY. So PS4 outsold XB1 in the US by more units last year than this year.
