Will XBO FFXV ever enter the 2016 Top 100? It's still in the top 100 in the hourly charts, but it still hasn't entered the yearly rankings.

I'm going to update the yearly and monthly tonight. Whoop! Whoop!

I wouldn't be surprised if the next one isn't on xbox.  All the spin offs and remasters like FF12,  dissidia etc won't be anyway.  Maybe they'll give MS an ultimatum.  Pay for the xbox ports development or lose it.

Microsoft was advertising the XBO version in both the US and UK, so that may actually not be out of the question. It pretty significant when the FFXV ratio is the same as the Type-0 ratio in the UK in spite of Microsoft's marketing efforts.

I think that was the deal Square was trying to make with Sony before Sony lol'd.  I wonder if Microsoft would even bother.

It's going to come down to two things: can Scalebound do okay and how much JRPG support will the XBO/Scorpio receive after Scalebound? The latter is extremely important because of retention. If the very few XBO JRPG gamers end up getting a PS4, PC, or the Switch because the XBO isn't satisfying their needs, that will put a major damper on any future JRPG support on the Xbox. This is especially true since the JRPGs in 2017 are much bigger than those in 2016.

I mean, I don't think this matters at this point, nor do I think Microsoft cares.  If you truly liked JRPGs, you would have seen the writing on the wall near the end of the 360s lifespan and gotten a PS4.

Remember in the early days on chertz the xbox fans who likes jrpgs clinging onto the hope of a Phil Spencer tweet promising jrpg support.  Obviously it never materialised.  Bless them for holding on so long.

Thankfully for their sake,  those of them who weren't fanboys seen the light eventually and got a ps4.

Support for Japan games on ps4 in 2017 is insane.  First 4 months is just crazy.  It's a real golden era we're entering.

PC and PS4 (and maybe even the Switch depending on how much 3rd party support it'll get) are the ways to go for JRPGs. Steam has a plethora of JRPGs to choose from and same with the PS4. When Valkyria Chronicles came out on Steam, PC gamers supported the heck out of it. When Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth came out courtesy of the petition, the PS4/PSV gamers backed their talk and demonstrated those signatures were genuine.

This is what XBO owners need to realize. You need to do more than just bemoan the lack JRPGs of your console of choice in a forum. You need to be proactive, go to social media, start a petition, and most importantly of all, support the JRPGs when they come out.
