We're mostly PS fans so let's share what's annoying us about them right now.

their delays. i feel its hurting their brand. and having yet another holiday without a strong western exclusive in their line up is hurting them.

They have some decent ones in Europe, but yeah I still don't get their US strategy.

OT: Delays, always delays

After all the under performing sequels this fall delaying Horizon was a genius move in my eyes. It will have breathing space with Zelda delayed but undoubtedly be the biggest game in Q1 alongside Mass Effect Andromeda. Of course on the other hand they delayed so many games which led to the situation of GR2 having to be delayed just to avoid its own competition in TLG so they can definitely do much better on that front.

I hope that we have seen the end of Sony's delays. In hindsight, some of the delays benefited its games though at the same time, people get pissed when they are told that they need to wait some more months.

1) God yes. That needs to happen. I really feel like Yamauchi has been given too much free reign over there without the recent results to justify it. I can't stand one-trick-pony studios. Especially when they take so dang long to perform the same trick and with decreasing quality. There is zero reason why Turn 10 can produce a Forza Motorsport title every 2 years and mostly maintain the same level of quality, with Forza 5 being an exception, and Polyphony Digital can't.

2) Maybe that franchise was just fudgy awesome at one point and I never knew it, but I really don't see why there is such an uproar from a vocal minority who want another SOCOM or at least a remaster. I mean, I suppose it doesn't matter why when there simply is, but I can't wrap my head around what was so great about it that it comes up constantly.

3) Eh. That franchise went downhill, both critically and commercially, after the first game. By the time they made the last one, no one cared anymore. They might have been given another shot had Evolution Studios not dropped the ball on Driveclub twice. If MotorStorm wasn't dead before the PS4 came out, it probably died with that studio.

it was lucky, not genius. and honestly i feel that the games under performing where not due to the loaded schedule. we had that every year for a long time now. i would put the main blame on the games them selfs, and their marketing.

Battlefield 1 had the perfect marketing, the hype and the quality. and it did great numbers. there was considerably less hype for watch dogs or dishonored for example, and it feels like the marketing teams didnt do their job properly, there wasnt much excitement. in the case of watch dogs, it seems after the first one didnt live up to expectations, people weren't really interested in the second. i think that also effected titanfall.

gamers also seem to be more conscious and aware about bugs and server issues these days. and seem to wait until they know if there are glaring issues with the games before buying them.

I think they need to act more competitive. XBO is reclaiming America yet they're acting like nothing's changed. July, August, September, and October have gone to Microsoft. Next year Microsoft could win the majority of the months.

They might be looking at the global ratio and decide it's not worth getting into a price war with MS.

Edit: That being said, I still maintain the same opinion I had in September the Slim should have launched at $250.

Yeah but then again they're probably making more profit than MS still, so they won't be too keen on dropping prices just to win NPD.

I've always presumed that this is due to the xbox one S and its excellent marketing followed by the pro being announced and putting people off. If the pro doesn't do super well then it might actually be a good fight for the US from now on.
