I find there's a bit of contradiction going on also, Xbox Slim launch month 275k 'great sales '. PS4 Slim releases halfway through month sells 285k 'slim flopped'. Then people try to make out the reason it 'flopped' is because of xbox. No, Xbox is doing better this year because they have a new model. Slim sales were restricted because of the Pro. I think it's blatantly obvious.

The PS4 slim sold less than a 100k though.

The OG was cheaper, people are going to buy the cheaper model. The Slim wasn't designed to be an upgrade, anybody going for an upgrade will buy the Pro. It's PS4 models competing against each other.

Dude, Aquamarine tweeted that the average selling price of a PS4 in September was $306. People didn't go for the OG because it was cheaper. People seem to obviously like the original design more, otherwise I completely fail to explain why on Amazon right now the standalone OG PS4 is outselling the slim with Uncharted 4 even though the latter is just 10 bucks more.

bolded: Yes and that's the exact problem. The slim is sitting at a shaming price. At only a hundred bucks more you can get a Pro and for the same price as a slim you can get a more feature rich X1 S coming with the entire Halo series. So why would anyone in their right mind go for the Slim? Unless the extra $100 would seriously break your bank account, I can seriously not find a good reason to buy a slim over a Pro even if you just don't want an Xbox. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the slim should have launched at a price of $250 for a standalone model, $300 is just an awful value proposition when compared to the other options. And yes, I know the PS4 is stronger than the X1 but let's be real here, that stopped mattering for the majority of people about 2 years ago.

The average selling is exactly that, the $400 LE PS4 was also heavily discounted and sold well,so that more than likely pushed up the average selling price. I'm not lying,  the PS4 blops bundle was discounted by $70 to 280. It sold more because it was cheaper than the Slim.

I'm not sure why people are claiming the Slim is too expensive. Sony aren't reacting to the competition and doing their own thing. The Slim launched marked the start of a $50 price drop, if they released at $250 they would seriously hamper themselves for holiday price cut promotions and strategic price cuts in the future. They set up perfect for the holiday, $400 Pro and $250 Slim with free game.

I will say people buys more the OG due the bundle... OG CoD is more attractive than Slim U4.

If Sony put CoD in Slim it will sell more than OG.
