I'm a fan of horror games which started from the days of playing Silent Hill but I don't think I can handle playing a horror game through VR. I think VR will be great for gaming but playing a atmospheric physiological horror game using a tech which will greatly heighten the sense of immersion is one step to far for me. I couldn't even handle PT with headphones without curling up into a fetal position after 5 minutes of play. It could be I'm turning into a big wimp in my old age.

Are you a fan of horror games? Are you interested in playing horror games through VR?

Sure, I'd check it out, if I heard it was good.

Also was this announced before? First time I'm hearing about this.

I think it was announced at E3.

That looks dope. Yeah I'd play it and maybe even buy it.

Zero interest in horror games but this one seems to exist beyond just trying to be scary.

i don't play horror games in general.  i'd say dead space is about as scary of a game as i'm willing to play.  the nice thing about dead space is it is a shooter too and not a game dedicated to just trying to scare you.

I heard 1 and 2 are scary but 3, not so much!

There's no way I'd play anything scary in VR.
I can play Dead Space on a TV, but experiences are so different in VR.
Things that don't give you a second thought in normal games can be uncomfortable or full out scary in VR.  If you are standing on a ledge in a game, no problem.  But when it feels like you're the one standing on a ledge, it's a totally different feeling.

Same with dinosaurs and aliens, on a screen it's fine.  In VR those things can be seriously uncomfortable when they are up close and personal.

Dead space 1 was crazy scary to me and my friends. Even when we where a few together playing it (on a projector though and great sound system)

I'd play it as long as I had a few pairs of clean undies next to me to swap out when needed.

I'll make my wife sit there and swap them out for me, no way I'm breaking immersion because that's a waste of $400!!!
Is this where I talk favorably about myself?

Are you sure you would risk ruining your fancy pants?

Never!
I'll just play in tighty whities like a normal person!

i only played 1 but it was wonderfully atmospheric.  the sound and visual design was the centerpiece of why the game was soo great.  i really wish they'd remaster those games for ps4.

i mean,. maybe.  it would have to be via the browser.  sony could block it if they wanted.  i'll just wait and see how it works out but i'll trust it less than the PC variants of VR where there is far more freedom to do stuff.
