Some games like Horizon are extremely popular on this forum. We all love it. There are other games though that are less universal in praise.

What's a game that you love (released or upcoming) that you'd like to convince us is awesome? Sell us on the game and make everyone else love it too.

Star Citizen+Squadron 42.

It's arguably a AAAA game that's doing everything at the highest quality possible. Squadron 42 is the single player campaign while Star Citizen is an mmo like open world. The tech behind everything is incredible. IE it has a full Bethesda like inventory system. A loose item will stay where you left it. Also has crazy destruction physics.
Ships are fully seamless and can be walked in ALA the Normandy in Mass Effect.

Squadron 42 also has some amazing talent to it.

The aliens in the game speak an alien language designed by the man who made Klingon.

But is it fun?
YES!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a blast with the alpha. Think GTA in space. Being a stowaway on an enemy's ship was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had in gaming. He noticed I was there so he was running around the ship trying to hunt me down.

Valiant hearts and apotheon were great games.
Valiant hearts was touching and fun to play.
Nothing beats a head shot on my son with a javelin in apotheon, it fills me with joy.
Is this where I talk favorably about myself?

Trails in the Sky

The battle system makes an interesting twist on the turn-based mechanic by implementing SRPG elements. The game is a bit verbose at times, but the world building is really good.

Trails in the Sky was one of the best games I've played.  Its combat reminded me of FFX's since you can see how your moves affects the speed of getting to your next turn.
