After some reflection, how'd you rate the PS Meeting?

I personally would give it a 8. I expected this type of conference and had zero hype going in. Would have got a higher score if it went more technical.

In general, I'd give it a 4. 4K and HDR cannot be demonstrated through a livestream and it was stupid to attempt it. When Days Gone activated HDR, most people didn't notice a thing. Was kinda fun in a trainwreck kind of way, but not good for the average gamer watching. Pretty poor reveal of the Pro too. Having the console appear on stage was cool but it felt really rushed and awkward. Why didn't a camera go up and give some nice views of it for a minute? Also why was the slim in their? Eh it should have been revealed first so that people had a longer time to adjust to the design.

This conference should have not been livestreamed imo. Instead the PS4 Pro should have been officially revealed through a youtube video and press release an hour before. Have the event just for the journalists actually attending.

Long term though, doesn't matter too much. Didn't do any positives for the pro but a single awkward conference won't hurt it too much either. Most of the confusion should be cleared by launch.

I agree with pretty much all of what you said. I enjoyed it, got more games shown than expected but it didn't show off the advantage of the Pro through stream.

Yeah i'd give it a 7 or 8.  Good way to reveal the new pro, but i agree it could have been more technical and they could have had some better explanations.  I loved seeing actual games being shown on the pro and especially horizon and mass effect looked stunning.  The higher res made everything pop and the textures were sharper.  Livestreams didn't do them justice and watching some of the gamersyde downloads shows a world of difference.

It was pretty lame.
Games - were mostly shown off to show technical stuff, that really couldn't be shown off.  There wasn't really anything exciting here.  Very different from the original PS4 unveiling.  I think the only really exciting thing was Mass Effect?
Technical - Even the technical stuff wasn't shown off as well as the original PS4's was.  It was mostly we'll have HDR, here's some games and what they look like.  Pretty cool for you guys watching on non-HDR TVs.  Here's 4K!  Pretty cool for you 1080p people.  ;)

Like a 2? It was really bad.

It seems however that the biggest backlash has blown over for now and that now info is starting to trickle out that is actually making people more interested in this after all.

4.

Was boring, and the info they shared was pretty much "no duh" kind of stuff.

Cerny is a snoozefest.

I'd give it a 10. They announced what I wanted them to announce and kept it simple and too the point.

No theatrics to try and put on a show.  Just clean and concise data given.

And they didn't announce the neo and say it's coming in 18 months.  Which is a big bonus.  Nobody likes waiting forever for hardware.

Sony should have announced the Uncharted 4 slim bundle from the start. A terrific game that has maintained high value, why wouldn't you announce it on the big stage?

Conference would've been more exciting if there was less tech demos and more gameplay demos.

Oh how people got caught up in the hype!  ;D
