I didn't think I'd hear myself say this about Gamestop, but what they're doing here may be good for the industry. We haven't had a new major Western publisher in awhile.

that would hurt them way more than it would benefit them.

if they sell at other retailers, they gain more sales and profits. and what ever they sell at their stores, they have a much larger profit margin. they could also give "gamestop exclusive content" to add more incentive to buy at their stores. however they are making these games to make a profit out of them, thats the main goal, and not selling at other retailers would be shooting them selfs in the foot.

i could see them releasing it early at their stores by a day or two, maybe a weeks tops.

and as i said in another thread about insomniac, they seem to get into deals with publishers that really need all the devs they can get, and arent picky about quality or selling much units. i am worried insomniac are stretching them selfs too thin now.

3 Oculus games, at least on Gamestop game, just finished Ratchet, and might be working on SO 2 (guess we will find out at E3).

we didn't miss this.  i just didn't care.

anyways,.. i think this is a good idea for gamestop.  they need to diversify badly because retail is on its way out.  not so sure about their choice in studios.  i'm going to just assume rime is a piece of shame because otherwise sony wouldn't have cut ties with them.  insomniac is great but can't seem to release a real success outside of ratchet.  ready at dawn ought to be great but the order was a huge disappointment for most people.  frozenbyte had one hit and each release after has gotten worse.
