Yeah that's a delay problem.

One month isn't a problem and R&C wasn't delayed for development but a specific reason and I think that delay made sense. We still got all three games. Not like anything we cared about has been cancelled

The fact that the movie was delayed and then the game was delayed to meet up with it, is pretty telling.

The fact that the movie was already shown at film festivals shortly after the delay was annouced makes this whole thing a lot less telling.

As far as I know people just simply started saying the game was delayed because of the movie at some point, there was never at any point any official confirmation of that.

Don't know about you guys but there are plenty of other games releasing this year I want. Some of them PS4 exclusive. Helps me to not throw a fit over this. I keep hearing things about Ratchet and Clank. That it's a great game. One of the best PS4 exclusives. That it's a nostalgia joy ride. Strangely, no one seems to talk about it being delayed a year. The only mentions of that I hear are when people make lists of games that were delayed. Same with Uncharted 4. It's just a few weeks away and all I hear is excitement but none of the same whining about it being delayed. As if it never was. It's almost like no one cares once the game is released or close to it. I should probably leave this rage machine to its devices and come back early next year to see all the positive comments about it. Though I hear Street Fighter 5 did amazing when it was shoved out the door. Thank god that game wasn't delayed.

also,..  i'm not going to dig it up but back when horizon was announced i think about half this board called a delay to 2017 and we were all laughing about. 

i want to play horizon,.. but this year we are getting exclusives in:
1. uncharted 4
2. the last guardian
3. gravity rush remaster
4. gravity rush 2
5. ratchet and clank
6. the tomorrow children
7. street fighter 5
8. firewatch
9. alien nation
10. shadow of the beast
11. neir automa
12. the witness
13. persona 5
14. no man's sky
15. mlb the show 16
16. paragon
17. valkyria chronicles remaster
18. valkyria 2

plus whatever is exclusive to psvr like rigs and ace combat 7

i think that dreams and horizon are both delay risks but seriously,.. this is packed year and i can't possibly play every exlcusive i want let alone every game i want.  so suck but i'll live.

Aha, hadn't seen that my bad. That's still a dumb fudgy reason that all the more could have been dealt with, with proper management, though.

i mean,.. yeah i agree.  but i also get why you'd delay the game to match the delay on the movie.  it especially sucks because ratchet was done and would have made last holiday look a lot better and does very little to bolster the packed spring quarter.

That reasoning is fudgy stupid "Hey there are other games coming out, so we can just ignore Sonys utter failures here", why should Sony get a free pass for fudgy up simply because other companies are picking up the slack? And you're right, hardly anybody talks about the delays of released games, but do you know what tons of people regularly talk about? How Sonys first party has been a major disappointment this generation. I see comments like this pop up pretty much once a week, a lot of people are not happy with how Sonys first party has performed up to this point in the generation and that is going to persist, if all their shame just keeps getting pushed back all the freaking time.

If the delay is needed, it's great that Sony is delaying games.

What sucks is that the delays are needed in the first place. Either don't announce a release period that early, or manage the team better.

Dreams never aimed at 2016 for the full game to come out. And yeah there's still a bunch of stuff that I'm interested in getting in the second half of the year, for now at least cause I thought the same thing in 2015 and at the end of that year the only "new" game I bought in the second half of the year was the freaking Nathan Drake Collection.

The problem is that Horizon was pretty much at the top of my list of anticipated games for 2016 and this game being delayed and just being part of this long fudgy list of Sony delays just freaking sucks, especially in combination with the rumored mid August to late September release for Persona 5, my most anticapted game of all time, in Japan, which going by past releases would make a 2016 western release for that game a very tough fit as well.
