I'd rather people start being pissed about this than be in this constant wimp status of "Oh, that's fine. If they need more time then there's nothing you can do about that", I'm tired of never being able to believe the first release date Sony is giving their games.

I am as pissed as anyone that Horizon is delayed but if this game is supposedly as big as the Witcher 3 in scale and this is Guerrilla's first RPG and new franchise give them the time they need. You only get one shot at a new I.P so they know they have to do well. Same with Bend's I.P. Stuff like God of War, Uncharted and other franchises should not take as long as the formula is set in stone. I am just hoping Gravity Rush 2 and The Last Guardian make it out this year.

Apparently, Mirror's Edge is delayed to June, so yeah, delays aren't only a Sony problem. I do wish, though, that publishers stop underestimating how long it takes for their games to come out.

so sony lied about ps4 being easy to develop for,.. i fudgy hate them.

i think they are stuck looking at old games to make a schedule. but as games become more and more expansivr they will naturally take longer. and the suits in charge just set dates based on that and havent caught on yet

I'm not sure how much time is given to devs to make a game anymore, but if they're still on that 2 year cycle, it has to stop.  PSX games used to be on a 3 year cycle.  I know development tools got a lot better (I actually think games should be easier to develop now then back then), but thinking 2 years is enough is crazy.

That reasoning is fudgy stupid "Hey there are other games coming out, so we can just ignore Sonys utter failures here", why should Sony get a free pass for fudgy up simply because other companies are picking up the slack? And you're right, hardly anybody talks about the delays of released games, but do you know what tons of people regularly talk about? How Sonys first party has been a major disappointment this generation. I see comments like this pop up pretty much once a week, a lot of people are not happy with how Sonys first party has performed up to this point in the generation and that is going to persist, if all their shame just keeps getting pushed back all the freaking time.

What other companies? Activision who's delayed Destiny 2? Ubisoft who delayed Watch Dogs? No company is really good with making deadlines except maybe Nintendo. (which doesn't say much with lack of voice overs and cut scenes in there game its something you should expect)

Is it bad that I completely forgot about  every title on this list? That's how bad of a position Nintendo is in for this gen

Isn't there also a base defense project that went into hiatus as well
