Meh. For those who don't care, they'll keep buying the $300 console. For those that want more than extra hard drive space, they'll buy the $400 to $500 console. I know I plan on trading mine in, getting store credit, and using that to buy the new one.

Ps4 will be 250 when it comes out. I kind of like the idea of mid gen upgrades, it makes it feel fresh more often. Which is nice.

I feel like we haven't really even gotten into PS4 yet.
We haven't seen any:
-Naughty Dog new game releases
-Media Molecule new game releases
-Gran Turismo
-Quantic Dream
-God of War
-etc.

A lot of these are coming very soon, but it just feels like we are in PS3 2008, hearing about what is closer to a PS4 instead of a PS3 slim. It's just kind of bleh.

I think mid gen upgrades could be nice, but it's a minefield of potential screwups.

The big thing Sony has to do is make absolutely sure people understand that this is NOT a new console and that they don't HAVE to buy the newer version in order to play certain games. That will be the biggest thing that fudges them is if people think the PS4K will have exclusive games.

Yeah, a lot of what was in that Osirisblack rumor is exactly what I don't want and is the stuff that I feel people are really going to be mad about. Potential $500 price tag, (currently) no trade in program planned and fudgy games that specifically target the PS4k already, which will make them run (the key word is "run") worse on the normal PS4, that's what people are really going to riot about. Also announced before October and released Q1 2017? Are you outta your mind Sony? Do you completely want to kill the PS4s momentum?

Yeah, this whole thing is beginning to sound real weird. Like Sony is dropping different (and sometimes contradictionary) rumors around the internet just to see what the reaction is. So much of this Osiris stuff just seems bad, like "hard to see how Sony could sell it" bad.

If all of this is true then I see an X1 reveal 2.0 incoming.

Yeah it's just weird and risky, I mean I'm still going to hold out judgement until this thing is actually revealed and we see what the effect it has on PS4 games, but this is starting to look like a mistake that could cost them dearly. Like, this could have insanely negative effects I feel.
