Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Announced, Free-to-Play on PC - IGN

QuoteForza Motorsport 6: Apex is coming to PC, and the Turn 10-developed, Windows 10-exclusive racing game will be free-to-play. Optional mictotransactions will allow players to purchase vehicles, or they can be earned by winning events.
Apex is not a straight port of Forza 6. At launch, Apex features 12 themed racing events, more than 60 cars, and a new objective system, which challenges players to complete specific, skill-based tasks for additional in-game currency.
"Drivatars" from Forza 6 on Xbox One will not carry over to Apex, Turn 10 told IGN. The developer declined to comment on any upcoming paid expansions, but emphasized the importance of updates to Apex, specifically in spotlighting specific cars with different events.
Turn 10 also confirmed to IGN that future Forza Motorsport games would be developed concurrently for PC and Xbox One.

So this is a spin off game exclusive to pc, and all future forza games will be xbox and pc?

Strange name though.

I think they are having spin offs for all future ones.  Think they are just saying they will have a PC spin off for every Xbox One title.

PC port for future titles, not spinoffs I think. They're testing the waters with f2p now

I don't think it is a really spin off but more like a DriveClub free with few modes/cars/tracks and after you can buy more features via money.
It is like they did split Forza 6 on Xbox One and they will sell it in parts on PC.
