"The Witness" will have VR compatibility on PC, no support for PSVR - NeoGAF

The VR compatibility will be exclusive for the pc.
QuoteThe Witness will have VR compatibility creator Jonathan Blow told iDigitalTimes, so indie game lovers can explore the beautiful world of The Witness in virtual reality. Unless you want to do it with PlayStation VR, then you’re screwed. The Witness will eventually be compatible with VR headsets on PC, but won’t be compatible with PlayStation VR. Blow confirmed to iDigitalTimes there are no plans to make the game compatible with Sony’s VR headset at present.

QuoteThe Witness has been in development for seven years, way before incorporating VR technology became the hottest trend in the gaming industry. Blow explained the only way to make The Witness compatible with PlayStation VR would've come early on in the development process. That said, it's not too late for PC users to potentially wander around The Witness with the many VR headsets coming to their preferred gaming platform.

"Not on PlayStation VR simply because to support that you would've had to design the game from the outset," Blow said. "We started this game a long time ago way before PlayStation VR was a concept so for for this game. We might do some support for PC based UV because it's easier to add that in later."

Vr would be cool only for a few minutes.

Maybe.  :D

The fact that it's a puzzley type game kinda limits how much use it'd get a bit.

I'm close to finishing, but I'll go for 100% compleation. I really love it.

I wish the game had stats. I feel like I only have a handful of puzzles to go.

Fricking hated one part though.

Basic Puzzle spoiler.
Spoiler for Hidden:
One set works off the sound of a bird chirping. Cool at first, but difficulty is increased by adding background noise to distract you. Last one was just two birds chirping over each other. Ended up having to brute force my way through every possible choice.

I'm good at puzzles!

And I might be completely wrong with my progression. Not using a guide so I don't know for sure.

I think the Giantbomb first look showed a way of checking how many puzzles you've done, maybe you should do that?

If it's in the options, I haven't found it. Heck I haven't even found a save button. (I'm worried about that lol)

If it's a world feature, I haven't found it either. Not using a guide so don't tell me
