Um what. PS4 did much worse than any of us expected, then.

This just seems so wrong to me

Have you considered the possibility that Microsoft's PR was being deceptive? Because those numbers don't add up.

Think about it. If the Xbox One did a minimum of just over 278k, that means at 550k combined the PS4 would lose September with 272.

People on Chertz being fooled by MS's PR tatics again.
OMG.

I'm not using MS's PR, I never trust that shame.

I was using this from venture beat:

The majority of hardware platforms increased their sales from August 2015 to September 2015 when comparing sales on a per week basis," said Callahan. "All eighth generation consoles, [which includes PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U], experienced double-digit growth when comparing sales on a per-week basis."

I took that as meaning each console is up by more than 10% on a weekly basis but that doesn't agree with Zhuge's 500k at all. In fact, common sense doesn't agree with 550k

And Xbox One did much worse than any of us expected too.
That looks ok.

Ms uses that greatest holiday lineup every year and it's battleship every year. I hate it. It just nuggets all over previous years and isn't true.

We knew Forza flopped a long time ago from UK charts. Us would follow suit like always.

He based the 550k in the 40% more than the same time previous generation... or something like that.

The ability to create, play and share your own unique Super Mario levels was a dream 30 years in the making for Mario fans. Turns out it was also a great reason to jump into the Wii U experience. The Super Mario Maker game for the Wii U console launched in the U.S. on Sept. 11 and sold nearly 445,000 combined units in its first three weeks (Sept. 11, 2015 – Oct. 3, 2015), bringing the lifetime total to more than 500,000 combined units in the U.S. alone (Sept. 11 – Oct. 19, 2015). Perhaps the biggest impact however has been on hardware sales. For the full month of September, sales of Wii U hardware in the United States increased by nearly 110 percent over sales in August. Software sells hardware and no one sells hardware like Mario.

Other Nintendo highlights from September include:

Through the first nine months of 2015, sales of Nintendo 3DS hardware have increased by nearly 25 percent over the same time frame in 2014.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer for the Nintendo 3DS system launched on Sept. 25 and sold nearly 115,000 total units in its first week on the market.

Numbers check out, WiiU ~ 89k (which fits with my numbers, just)

Well, at least we have a point of reference for Creamsugar's eventually pies, so there's that.

Well, my Wii U and 3DS predictions are reasonably close. However, I have set myself up for embarrassment when it comes the XBO and PS4 >_<

What was August's numbers and how many weeks?

Quote from: Max King of the Wild on Oct 19, 2015, 11:08 PMWhat was August's numbers and how many weeks?
4 weeks

PS4 209k
XBO 202k
3DS 77k
Wii U 43k

I did the math and got

287k < PS4 < 538k
278k < XB1 < 282k
59k < WiiU < 89k

The WiiU numbers we got (just) fits with my maths

Using the same maths,

106k< 3DS < 142k

The ~129k we have fits with that too.

I guess if you take the bare minimum of what I got, 278k+287k you get 565k which would roughly fit with Zhuge's maths. It would just mean PS4 barely edged XB1
