Is that yoy growth for september or year to date?

Why? It's $50 cheaper than it was the year before plus Taken King, MGS5, Forza 6, and continued sales from the Gears of War remaster. Keep in mind, XBO had shame this time last year by comparison. Forza Horizon 2 hit at the tail end of September and that's the lesser of the Forza series. I'm pretty sure they're talking about in comparison to last September.

Ooh fair point! This tells us nothing!

Also, lmao at strongest lineup in the industry history. The history of gaming must have been pretty crud

Well, it is cheaper than last year and has the Forza 6 bundle.

Hoo boy, again with the "greatest lineup" narrative....

Destiny was huge this time last year, XB1 had just had its big price cut and they bundled destiny for free for a while. Also it did crud on amazon in september

Yeah that marketing line is fudgy stupid. You have another Halo game, another Forza game, and a timed exclusive from a rebooted franchise fighting to stay relevant.

MS have given us a % increase every time XB1 has been up YoY for the last few months now and they didn't give us one there. Seems suspicious

The big price cut ran its course by the time September rolled around. It's still cheaper than last year. Yeah, Destiny was big. But was it bigger for Xbox than those games combined I listed? Doubt it. Also, we need to keep in mind that we could be talking a mere 1,000 more consoles than last year. Wouldn't be a big deal but still technically correct for them to say.

Greatest xbo line up, sure.

Greatest xbox line up, no but whatever.

Greatest industry line up, wtf?

Reading the PR again, I would partially agree with the "greatest lineup in the industry" part. I mean Fallout 4, Black Ops 3, and Battlefront are all really huge. However, if that is what they call the greatest lineup in Xbox history, that is quite a low bar MS is setting for themselves.

MS PR is extremely bad. It doesn't shock me at all that they're using such stupid lines

Have you seen the PS2 2001 lineup?

I rest my point.
