I'm having a hard time finding a boss in Old Yarnham. Is he close to the hunter/gatling gun guys?

AFter the machine gun guy you will go down until open a shortcut to the exactly gate where you go up to the machine gun guy... the right path to the pass is right to the entrance of the shorcut... it is not that hard.

he tends to do that for a lot of people lol if you go back the niext time your in the area, the item he drops should be right next to the gun lol

Well he only did so after I had beaten the crud out of him down to like 1/4 of his HP lulz. Also, he dropped down exactly close to the stair I used to go up thankfully.

OT: Anyone know how this bonemarrow thing is supposed to be used (says it enhances bullets or some shiiet)

No boss so far has taken me anymore than two tries to beat but I will make an important disclaimer. I stumbled across the music box and read up on what the hell I need it for. That's how I found out that you use it against Father Gascoigne to make the fight easier. The molotov cocktail bombarment I used during the final phase of the fight I heard from DD. The Witch of Hemwick was plain easy but I think that's one of those fights where they cut you some slack so you can acquire the tool needed to use runes. Vicar Amelia I got lucky on. I was able to avoid most of her attacks by the skin of my teeth and for some reason she never started praying to heal herself so I didn't have to deal with that fight mechanic. The Blood-starved Beast became easy because I read up on what Pungent Blood Cocktails were for and it was recommended to use them during that fight so that he wouldn't focus on you. The upcoming fights, however, don't seem to have any such trick items I can use to make them easier. Plus, the game gets harder the more Insight you gain. So if the game is not challenging a super star of your caliber then just let your Insight accumulate.

well i don't really know what insight is at this point since i having started the game but i'll keep that in mind.  i'll choose not to read up on how to approach any boss either as i prefer to figure that out for myself.  but i'll say this...

..soloing ornstein and smough in ng+ at lvl 17 was one of my greatest moments in gaming.

and as frustrating as this game is,  when you slaughter a beast, the sense of accomplishment is huge.  When i defeat ROM i pretty much went nuts lol

i think you use it via the quare button like other objects,

not sure exactly, never really timed it and my sense of time when i play is terrible lol  its not terribly long but also not to short.  prolly 30-60 seconds

i havent tried, but i assume itll either make you an upgraded bullet, or just more of them, as compared to the regular method of turning blood to bullets
