Without Alfred... it just that you can hit her a lot from back and fire makes her down for five seconds after some hits.

With a partner she can't even hit you... it is the boss that I most help to gain Insights.

Now the beast was cruel... he was the hardest boss for me.

Interesting. Do you mean with fire paper? I don't have any more of those. Or the torch?

Anyone know if Alfred can die permanently? He died in the BSB battle.

He sure can, but I don't think that Alfred dying when you summoned him means that he's really dead, at least in Dark Souls NPCs didn't really die when their summoned versions died in battle.

going to tackle the witch before I try Vicar again
The good thing with beating the witch, if you can, is it unlocks runes.  and each boss seems to have a technique, when done right makes it much easier.   so far atleast

bsb -  those vials + flame sword
Vicar - Run straight at her, you want to be close so she doesnt use her range attacks.  once your super close you do sideways hops, or watever you can to get beside her/behind.  shell kind of adjust herself, and youll have to work on staying in there.  then flame sword to boost damage,  oil urns will increase that even more

witch -  dont worry about the soot monsters so much, unless one gets a bit to close, or she makes a bit to many, otherwise just run around looking for her and wacking her.  again use flame sword :P  and do your best to dodge her magic lol

My tactics for the bosses: Just be good. Only one boss death since beating Gascoigne :D

(This arrogance is so gonna come bite me in the dog at some point.)

Nope just rang it once and two people joined my game. I only wanted Alfred but two other people made it poop easy
