Honestly, I don't know how I'll ever get a girlfriend. I'm just extremely shy when it comes to people and even MORE so when it comes to girls I find attractive. Plus it's sort of expected for the guy to be the one to ask the girl out but god dang I'm too shy.

Theres a girl I'm interested in at work but I don't know, she seems out of my league looks wise...And if I ask her out and says no what then? It's going to be awkward as fudge at work, which is why I don't think I'll ever let her know that I like her...*sigh*

I'm exactly the same, it sucks doesn't it. Sometimes it helps just to pretend that you're more confident than you are: walk with bigger, more purposeful strides, hold your shoulders higher, keep your chin up. Little things like that help you feel just confident enough to start a conversation or make a move.

As the others have said, just talk to her but in a way that could seem friendly and look for signs that she might like you. At the end of the day, if nothing serious happens and it doesn't work out it won't be awkward for very long and you can move on. You don't need to worry so much.
