one year is too long. i think it will be 6 months. they should try release it before Uncharted.

Square is pretty well iced at this point when it comes to this game. It's releasing first on the platform the franchise sells the least on during the holidays where games like Battlefront, Fallout 4, and Halo 5 will bury it. If it releases this coming Spring then it has to contend with Uncharted 4 in addition to Street Fighter 5 and The Division. Since the game will have already released, everyone will know if it's good or not. If it isn't amazing, Uncharted 4 will kill the PS4 version. Hell, it probably will regardless. If Square decides to release it a year after the X1 version then it's releasing it during the holidays again where it will probably be murdered by Horizon, Mass Effect, and some other big game. Not to mention no one will likely care about it by that time.

Here's my the real problem with this rumor. Ms could only benefit by telling everyone that it would be a year before it ends up any where else. Most people won't want to wait that long and it may push them to buy the xbox version. Right now most think it's coming just a few months aftrr , because of their holiday exclusive wording.

For SE to get the greatest return from the PS4 version, they should release ROTR in January or February. Consumers who are interested don't have to wait so long and ROTR can avoid SFV & Uncharted 4 during the process.

i absolutely agree with this. i wouldn't be surprised if ms "leaked" false info here to maximize their return on investment.

They can try, but that won't stop the onslought it's going to have from other titles.  They'd have to bank on people buying the game in like February.  But by that point why would they?
