yea i need to go up a level or 2.   should take long but im hooked on amassing engrams for 1 big spree lol   i need some special materials to upgrade my armor.. that along can put me up a level,  it has like 5 defence upgrades, but i need ascendant energy or crystals lol

I'm level 18 so I need to level up and do some strikes and crucible to get some better gear.  Probably will finish the story first though before I do any of that.  On mars now and will probably finish the story tomorrow.

I guess not.

The loot is random liked to your level... like you will even see a Rare Engram before lvl 15... or even a Legendary Engram before lvl20... and my gears level are always better while my level progress (in lvl 20 I get stuffs to reach lvl 21 and not lvl 15 stufs anymore).

I got my Legendary gear from a Blue (rare) Engram dropped trying to find all the golden chests in Moon... so I think places with a lot of enemies have more chances to drop than places with few enemies... it can be even in low level places.

Strikes give me one or more Blue Engram too... even the easy ones... I did 4 times the lvl 18 Strikes yesterday and level up my decoder to 4 plus got one Purple (legendary) Engram in the process.

Yeap... it don't matter the difficul.

I will start to do strikes because I can level my Vangard rep and win marks to buy Legendary gears too.

Crusible give Legendary gears random too... so just have fun where you like

i'm only lvl 11 so don't put too much into what i'm about to say...

...imo, the drop rate is pretty consistent regardless of what you farm.   ..but i'll swear i get a better percentage of not-trash drops when i'm doing a more challenging mission.  my only blue came from the mission i did which a friend that was above my own lvl.
