yay only need 3 more shards and i can upgrade one of my armors and hit 26!   hopefully i get one when i run into todays pub event,  then ill only be 2 away lol

The daily heroic mission give 1 for lvl 25 or 2 for lvl 28 once everyday... I can solo until the boss on lvl 28 but I couldn't kill it... in three it is possible and I think easy.

I got from Public events too... I need more Mote of Light... 5 to buy the Exotic Engram

i bought an exotic engram yesterday and it was the chest piece, but its lower in light then my legendary right now and i dont have the materials to upgrade it past where mine is lol   ill be doing that daily mission tomorrow for sure,   and aslong as i get shards from pub events today and tomorrow im sure to be level 26 lol   im also going to be grinding patrols because atlest that way, you get a garunteed legendary each rank lol

Yeap... it gest better in Light with upgrades... each Defense Upgrade give you +1 Light... there are a lot in Exotic.

bwest farm chests for mats and trade 'em in for vanguard points that would be the easiest way to have all legendary gear
