When is it good?
When is it bad?
When is it useful?
Etc..

I like the old way of doing DLC where you'd reskin the game into another almost full game.  Like, I'd take a reskinning of Arkham Knight into a full fledged Catwoman game for instance.

Legend

I like DLC that feels like it couldn't exist without being a seperate add on.

Like left behind. It doesn't feel like it was split off from the initial release.

TLOU:LB  is a shining example of what DLC should be.

As others have said, things like The Last of Us: Left Behind is a good example of good DLC. Infamous: First Light is also another great example. I am also fine with extra-missions, cutscenes, costumes, etc. as long as they are free or priced reasonably.

Never ever release the last bit of a game's story as DLC or worse, lock content on the disc.

BasilZero

DLC is fine in terms of extra missions, cutscenes, non-canon/side stories and characters.

Costumes, items, experience points, money, etc is OK but eh...

In the end as long as the price is great - its fine.

Now a bad example of DLC as much as the content may be good but the price is hot steaming garbage......i.e. EA/Bioware DLCs >__>.

yeah that kind of DLC is fantastic. like undead nightmare.

i also like map packs, its just extra content that isnt necessary or make you feel like your "missing out" on the game. i dont usually buy them, but i have no objection to them what so ever,

i also like story DLC thats done right, for example Infamous First Light. lots of content, new gameplay mechanices, fun gameplay and the arena mode is a blast. i got it from PS+ but if i bought it it certainly would have been worth the money. fantastic add on.
