Watched across the spider verse again. What an absolute banger of a movie. 10/10.

Watching Planet of the Apes (1968). Which I will probably finish tomorrow. 

The costumes are in such an uncanny valley. 

There are some scenes where they look incredibly emotive.

One of my favorite things about the original movies, love the costumes and the environment/sets.

Watched "Resident Evil (2026)"  yesterday at AMC Theaters.


Have to say, I love the movie and didnt know the time passed until I saw the credits (and wanting more lol).



I still like the OG RE movies (first three mainly , need to do a rewatch personally since its been years since I watched the entire series) but I love the direction this movie takes.

Its less zombies like Classic RE and more modern RE games (monsters and more mutants than usual).

I like how there were so much variety of enemies the MC meets.

 You honestly wouldnt have known it was a RE movie if there werent mention of Umbrella and Raccoon City - which is fine because the movie built towards its own lore outside of those terms nicely.

I loved the call back to making gates/doors/locks overpowered, I thought it was pretty funny how the movie pointed fun at that considering how annoying it was in the games that you had to solve puzzles to find a key to get through a door/gate.

I've only played RE0, 1, 4 and 5 but I feel like even if you never played any of the games, its a great movie to get into because the story is of its own and doesnt rely on characters and events from the games.

It kinda reminds me of Resident Evil Outbreak where you play as random civilians who are just trying to survive.

I'm looking forward to a follow up - I dont typically like comedy elements in horror but I felt they meshed perfectly with the movie's horror.

I watched Resident Evil last night too!

Also loved it!!!

I went in blind so I had no clue where things were going. It was great, thinking someone was significant and then nope!

Gates and locks were awesome. Comedy was mostly great too, because imo it felt like it was never played for laughs. It was just real people being irreverent in a self serving way.

The cop woman, I thought she was about to girl boss and change the pace. Was really surprised she did indeed just die lol.<br>
