Why do gamers associate fun with quality?

This.

For example, I don't really find most games fun that Nintendo fans do...and they don't find most games fun that I do.

I wonder what's the reason for such a rift between Playstation and Nintendo fans. One person claimed that I'm not a real Nintendo fan because I have not yet owned a 3DS or a Wii U (I've played plenty on both. I just haven't purchased either one yet). I enjoy games from both platforms and they're fun in their own unique ways.

I get the same responses too.

Some people call me a Steam fanboy.

Others call me a Nintendo fanboy.

Some have called me a Sony fanboy

Others called me a Apple fanboy.

At least I am not grouped into one category by everyone!

Maybe it's an exaggeration that I don't find them fun. What I mean is that I have limited time and money and choose to spend it on what I find the most fun, and I do find PS and PC more fun than Nintendo as a whole.

For me it's a mixture of not wanting to spend money, and me just being picky with my games. I don't buy many games.

Yep, limited time and money are the main reasons why I don't have either a 3DS and Wii U as well as having a big backlog. I refuse to purchase another system or game until I actually get through the games I'm currently playing.

for me it is entirely time.  i have tons of cash i don't know what to do with.  i have very little time unaccounted for between work, child, gaming, swing dancing, friends and extended family.

i could think of some things you could do with the money.

I repeat the limited time and money mantra in this thread. I will reply more in detail when time allows but I'm following this.

Or to the forum!

(to which I'll just pocket it)

My problem is limited time. I sleep around 4 hours a night so that I can fit in 18 hour work days. I only watch TV once a week with GOT and silicone valley.

Money is a issue but its not as bad as it was years ago.

I just have too many games and not enough timez to play them all :(!

with working two jobs, I feel ya on those 18 hour days. Then my baby of an ex takes 20% of my paychecks. Hence limited money for me.
