The fourth one especially sucked.
Most of the other ones were somewhat passable.  :P

Most of the answers were the "haha as the writer I'm so clever. See you didn't notice how clever I was!" variety.

We should start up a daily puzzle though!

i once spent over an hour trying to explain the missing dollar riddle to one of my cousins ex's

edit:since you got rid of it lol

Three guests check into a hotel room. The clerk says the bill is $30, so each guest pays $10. Later the clerk realizes the bill should only be $25. To rectify this, he gives the bellhop $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room, the bellhop realizes that he cannot divide the money equally. As the guests didn't know the total of the revised bill, the bellhop decides to just give each guest $1 and keep $2 as a tip for himself. Each guest got $1 back: so now each guest only paid $9; bringing the total paid to $27. The bellhop has $2. And $27 + $2 = $29 so, if the guests originally handed over $30, what happened to the remaining $1?

That fourth one wasn't even a puzzle though.   :P
Dreadful.

DD_Bwest

the answer being that there is no reason to add the 2 to the 27.   if the clerk took 2 dollars,  and the original bill was 25,   the combined total is 27.   which is how much the three paid lol 3 x 9 = 27

adding 2 to 27 just doesnt really make sense :P  its bad math

All that happened was that they counted the bellhop twice and didn't count the guests at all.

A nice puzzle thread would be swell.
Haven't done many puzzles myself but would like to get more active in that regard.
