Nah they have too much money to be made.  And its not like its been milked to death like Assassins Creed or Halo  But I hope its not fully rebooted with all new characters with nothing to do with the previous characters.  They have a good thing for the future with Nadine and Chloe.  Perfect duo to continue.

Also isn't that the rumor we've been hearing about anyway?

I think that was the prevalent wish on resetera but I am not sure it was ever a rumor


Honestly, I am not sure what new they can do with the franchise.

I at least hope they make more uncharted multiplayer

Only announced for PS5, but it's a bit strange.

Published by Sony Interactive, but they didn't add in the SIE presents logo or anything like that.

i bet it will come to PC day 1 alongside PS5

but i wouldn't be opposed to it going to xbox or anything. More people need to enjoy kojima games.  The more innovative work we can have played by everyone the better.

yes please, let's put DS and GoW and Horizon and Returnal on xbox and while we're at it lets take away CoD, elder scrolls, diablo, doom, fallout from playstation.   i love my ps5!

well kojima is not first party so yes technically in this case sony is keeping DS from xbox.  

but i'm assuming kojima fully owns DS so he could choose to have it get published on xbox if he wanted to i would think

i think in the case of kojima sony put up the money to let him start his own studio like sony did with jade (haven) and those CoD guys (Deviation). 

maybe (probably) kojima could have secured funding elsewhere but sony probably offered the most creative freedom.  without sony i don't know that DS would exist or would exist as it does today.  i think that is a fair exchange for 2 exclusive games to playstation.   sony helped build-up the industry for the better.   i wouldn't qualify that as keeping DS from xbox anymore than MS buying up doublefine when they were inches away from going under takes away something from playstation once they get around to making their next game.

Activision is just different.  it's massively successful and the acquisition by MS is only about gating the content for power and greed.   legality aside,.. one kind of acquisition is easy to view as a good thing while the other is a bad thing.
