I mean especially one Nintendo fan being a hypocrite, one Nintendo fan that did the same shame before TLOU:R came out, in fact he was the main driving force behind that whole thing being blown so crazy out of proportion on that forum. I don't know what he thinks, that there are huge AAA teams working on these remasters and that tons of AAA games aren't being made/are being massively delayed to make remasters?

AAA development isn't getting cheaper that's the way it is, higher quality assets etc. demand more development resources, so if studios have some people remaster a game once in a while to actually help fund their AAA development, why is that making people so mad? If we didn't have the remasters we wouldn't have more new IPs/next gen only games either.

Nintendo just had to go into mobile gaming because their business is apparently not viable anymore on its own, even though 10 years ago they would have still been profitable with the same hardware situation they are in now, what more evidence do people need to see that this shame is more expensive than ever and that it's not only maketing budgets that are rising?

In retail titles alone, there are 15 games coming for PS4 that aren't remakes, remasters, or straight port-ups of games that came out awhile ago. Those are just the games officially announced. For fudge's sake, God of War 3 is re-releasing in the Summer. There are five other retail titles releasing then that we know of. It's not like Sony is relying on a 5-year old game to sell consoles during convention season.

Yeah it's just something for the dry season, nothing to get so worked up about.

Now I understand when people say that this isn't a great deal and that they would like more games included in this remaster (which would then of course raise the costs of the whole thing) but this idea that remasters are taking away the new games really has to go.

Edit: Oh and just to see the reactions I hope that the rumoured remaster that is coming to Wii U this year turns out to be a big Wii title like Mario Galaxy.

Skipping this.

Already have God of War Saga on PS3. If this was on PS5 I would understand.

Now if they made God of War Saga on PS4....with Ascension I would double dip.

$10 or bust

For people that like used games, whatever.

However for people like me who only buy new, $40 is not bad. I think I payed $40 for a collwction containing 1, 2, and 3.

Cheaper than the original right now?  Legit.
Yeah man, he hates sony so much he'd prefer them to sell their products at a loss so they go bankrupt and MS can monopolize another market and dog rape us more

Cutscenes are not real time. They are recorded in PC and labled as in engine record; just like PS3. I will get when its $20 something.
Greatness awaits #4theplayers

It's okay to sell a remaster of Majora's Mask on 3DS for $40, a game that is 15 years old now. A remaster of a 5-year old God of War title for $40 is absurd? Yeah, they made some minor alterations to the game and added fishing but that's worth $40 for a game THAT old?

It's worth $40 exactly because it's so old! Don't you get it, older games are supposed to cost more. More recent games, especially ones with a huge budget, are supposed to be sold for $10, even less than they cost used on their original platform!
