Why extreme? I don't like baseball at all. Why the hell would I waste my time to download a game about a sport I don't like? Just so I can turn around and delete it? There's nothing extreme about it. I don't like what it is at all and therefor want nothing to do with it. I don't like men. Some dude offering a free handjob isn't suddenly worth it to me just because it's free.

To the vast majority of people on this forum, everything Nintendo does is misguided at best and ludicrous at worst. They certainly aren't getting a free pass.

Eh, maybe cause I am a game collector - but I'll take the free game and play for a bit of it I guess ;p. I have games on Steam that I never wanted but I still got it for free and added to my collection! I love free games ^__^.

Edit: When I mean extreme, what you said sounds similar to what people say about who boycott games ;P! Iuno I see it like that lol.

I'm pretty sure in the original game the cutscenes were real time.

1. In twitch stream they said cutscenes are 30fps contrary to gameplay. I assume its recorded "movie" files that are 30 fps. Do you remember gow ascension ending? There was a mouse cursor in it. As much as I like Santa Monica and ND I hate their deception. Recording cutscenes in PC with full anti alising and higher polygon and claiming its game graphics is just low.
2. 70% PS3 in my country are modded to run pirated games. My PS3 isn't modded and I can show all of my PS3 gow games later? Why am I saying this? Because I have seen the files of copied PS3 games in my friends home. The reason gow 3 is 35 GB is because of those cutscenes. Sony knows how to deceive. Still I love them thinking they will stop.
3. Can't google now. But I remember gow 3 director saying, some cutscenes are too "epic" for PS3 to run. Epic? Correct word is too much.

Also it's really easy with games to tell if a cutscene is real time or not. With real time cutscenes you have the same weapons and outfit, while in pre-rendered ones you have the default. As far as my memory goes, all of the action moments are real time in gow3. It's only the ones that are obvious cutscenes in the traditional sense that were pre-rendered.


It's not dishonest, since the pre-rendered videos still have to match the game graphics. Otherwise it looks off. Plus there are lots of technical reasons to do it such as faster loading.

The only cutscenes which were FMVs were the ones that had those 2D scenes in it.  Those and when Poseidon dies.  There should be a total of 7.

Yeah it's been a while since I played it but I think i remember the cutscenes being real time..
Maybe Ascension did the TLOU trick though, haven't played it.

And why maybe they canned its remaster/bundling with another game.
