Because they're against the air strikes I guess. I'm all for them. Yes there are obvious downsides but there's downsides to anything we do in this situation and I think bombing these terrorists is the right decision. I'll accept people's views when they say that innocent people may be killed but I think that's failing to see the bigger picture, ISIS kill hundreds if not thousands of innocents every day and we need to do everything we can to stop them. Imo we should be pushing to do more than just air strikes.

Labour's leader Jeremy Corbyn really makes my blood boil, he keeps repeating that we need to try and find a diplomatic solution to this war. What a load of nonsense, not only is that never going to possible because none of the rebels will give up but its also disgusting. He's saying that we should just leave ISIS be, let them carry on beheading people, committing mass murder and acts of terrorism... because that's what they'll do if the war ends and they get to keep all of the land they control. I really hate that man.

Think airstrikes would be playing into Isis's hands.  

Even if someone isn't racist. They may still have stereotypes.  If we apply this to those populations, there may be a lot of people that don't hate the US, but they are still concerned about them.  And if the US were to kill someone close to them, that may put those individuals over the edge.  

Isis wants to cause trouble, tearing the sheets because of a stain is only going to cause much more trouble.  And you're left with a bigger issue.

The weather is pretty bad in many places in Iceland. Plus, many cars are stuck on the street and people had to be rescued by police lol. They've given out a warning for my area to not drive anywhere today

Yeah we've had warnings not to drive too. Just got back from work and the journey was a horrible ordeal!

There's been a red weather warning issued near me which means danger to life. Haven't seen one of those in ages

The Western Allies ceased having serious doubts the moment the US entered the war.  There was almost no doubt in the heads of Churchill and Roosevelt that Germany would end in defeat.  Upon hearing that Germany had declared war on the US, Churchill declared, "We have won!"  

Not sure how accurate this one is though.

In his memories, lord Churchill says that after Pearl Harbor, he had his first night of sound sleep in a long time. He felt sorry for the US, but he knew that if they were on the Allied side, victory was inevitable.

Interesting, I'd say even without America Germany would have lost. Russia proved to be too powerful

Here's another one!  

The British knew for sure when the US entered the war.

The Soviets knew for sure after the winter attack around Stalingrad.

German officers came to this conclusion gradually, between Stalingrad and the 1944 operations ( Overlord and Bagratian)

Hitler knew for sure in 1945.

Modern historians believe the outcome was decided by the relative sizes of the German and Soviet economies, before a shot had been fired.

That is probably true. The Russians owned the Germans really. The only surprising thing is how far the Germans managed to advance into Russia before Russia turned it around.
