Sometimes it Baffles me Wii U gets less Japanese Games then Xbox One....

Anyway anyone baffled how xbox one a console that flopped so hard in Japan it isnt even selling over 200 units over there a week and has been out for 5 months get more japanese 3rd party games then the Wii U which even though its doing not that well already is guaranteed 3 million ltf vs xbox one's possible less than 100k lft.
I understand they care about the West but it just doesnt make sense to me why Japanese games dont get ported to wii u?
Care to Explain?
Maybe XenoBlade Chronicles X could if succeeded bring japanese games back to wii u.....

Nintendo is a much bigger name, WiiU is cheaper and the games are better quality. That's why WiiU sells better. XB1 doesn't get very many Japanese games, the ones it does get are multiplats from PS or low quality exclusives

Xbox one is getting more xbox exclusives and has the next kingdom hearts and final fantasy games coming to their system,
and they also are getting dragon ball xenoverse(bombed in jp on xbo), dead or alive 5(bombed in jp on xbo) final fantasy(will probably bomb in jp on xbo as well)
where as wii u they wont bomb in japan as bad(final fantasy can probably do over 30-40k first week in japan at least on wii u then xbox one where it doesnt get pass 5k)

still gets the next tekken, dead or alive, kingdom hearts, final fantasy, metal gear solid, etc. even if they bomb in their home country
unlike wii u where they will do much better in their home country and do ok-bad in the west

Good points, I think these games would be on WiiU in Japan if it was not for Nintendo's attitude towards 3rd parties. It must be quite easy to port a PS4 game to Xb1, so Japanese devs might as well do that. WiiU is harder to do, its not anywhere near as powerful and Nintendo doesn't help the devs do that

Good points, I think these games would be on WiiU in Japan if it was not for Nintendo's attitude towards 3rd parties. It must be quite easy to port a PS4 game to Xb1, so Japanese devs might as well do that. WiiU is harder to do, its not anywhere near as powerful and Nintendo doesn't help the devs do that

Yes, it would do miles better on WiiU but I don't think it'd be worth the time to port it and deal with Nintendo, while it would barely cost them anything to make an Xb1 port of the PS4 version, so they might as well do it. I can't see any other reason why it would be on Xb1 and not WiiU

Well ff and kh probably have a lot to do with graphics. They could be ported to wii u just fine, but it'd take way more work than porting to xbo.

Also these publishers didn't expect xbo to do this bad in Japan and world wide. Lots of the games coming out now had probably already been set for xbo since before it was launched. Next year we'll get a better picture of what games xbo will get. On that note, I don't think kh3 is coming to xbo. That game is still so far away.

I agree with this since I doubt after 2016 xbo will have any japanese support
now some people are saying that if xcx suceeds then some japanese support might come back
who knows though
its it doing pretty well on xcx
and according to the director there is a lot of hype for it in japan
and they are pushing it
so who knows
