H1Z1 is going to tank on any platform, early access already very poorly received.. PS2 came too late and interest from the user base is average at best. No point in waiting, that could've driven the price down.

Whaaat? H1Z1 is really popular already. Don't listen to early access reviews.

Those games always have a surge of players at the beggining, it's not going to sustain it

Poorly received but still sold a shame ton of copies

Im personally excited to try it out on PS

I always found SOE weird because they were a Sony owned gaming company but it always felt like Sony consoles came in second place because they would always launch their stuff on PC first I mean heck Planetside two is just now coming to PS and that game came out two years ago
Legend made me remove this. Everybody riot.

Yes PS2 took ages to come to PS4 (and it's still a closed beta) and H1Z1 will probably be the same

SOE only developed one game for the PS3, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Untold_Legends:_Dark_Kingdom

Makes sense. SOE hasn't been performing well for the company. Their latest games have been terribly optimized on PC. PlanetSide 2 was supposed to launch with the PS4 and it's only just gone into beta almost a year and a half later. Who knows how long it will take them to finally complete EverQuest Next as information on it has been coming very slowly for an MMORPG supposedly launching this year. Dragon's Prophet was a disaster from what I heard, DCUO was mediocre, and H1Z1 has been a rough start. At this rate, even the games they announced as coming to PS4 eventually won't be around for a few more years on PS4. That's not really going to help the console or Sony's bottomline. My guess is that Sony wants money now for what they perceive as better acquisitions or internal projects that were hamstrung by finances. They've already ensured SOE's latest projects will be on the PS4. They probably figured they should sell it now while it's still worth something.

SOE is meh... they're okay not great sometimes a little terrible but not completely horrible

I don't think I've ever played a SOE game.

That's probably a sentiment that a lot of PS fans share, even among the core fans that frequent gaming forums.

That's why this is probably news that most PS fans really have no opinion on at least from a games perspective, it's just a thing that happened and that doesn't really affect us at all. At SOEs current development speed it will take years until their next game hits consoles anyway.

I never played a SOE game either. This move doesn't bother me in the slightest

It really shouldn't bother PS4 fans at all considering that SOE was PC-only until PS4 launched and even then it was with DCUO, which not many people care about, and PlanetSide 2 is taking forever. All of their other games coming to PS4 will take years yet since SOE has already said they're focusing on PC versions. Let's be honest, most people buying a PS4 weren't doing it because of an SOE game. Hardly anyone I talked to about EverQuest Next even knew that game was going to consoles and MMORPG's are far more successful on PC. I don't even like playing Final Fantasy 14 on PS4 and the control scheme for it was actually done about as well as could be for a game that has a bunch of buttons you'd normally need a keyboard for.
