I don't feel the need to correct every little detail. I can actually think about what the point is.

So what will happen to PS2 on PS4?

It will most likely maintain its course. They've been working on the port too long and are now too close to finally releasing it to suddenly stop for whatever reason. It may now cause legal trouble on their part to drag their feet much longer considering they're no longer a part of Sony but still obligated to bring the games they already promised. My guess is that PlanetSide 2 will release sometime this Spring and be PS4 console exclusive for at least a year.

Funny how SOE suddenly make valuable games though lol

lol yes.  even being within month of planetside 2 that game never made any exclusives list from anywhere.  i meantioned it a few times and got laughted off as "lulz, f2p games don't count".   now it's the fudgy end all of gaming that ps4 might lose exclusivity on that.   to be completely honest,.. now that there are no ties to sony i think planetside 2 and NQ next are more likely to stay pc exclusive than be ported to xbox.

Yeah. I'm starting to think that EQN might not even release on current consoles. It's taken SOE forever to port PS2 and that is a far simpler game than EQN. At the rate it's going I wouldn't be surprised to hear a late 2016/early 2017 release just for the PC version.

The new company might put Daybreaks balls into a vice grip and force them to meet deadlines. They may rise to the expectations or crack under pressure. One things for certain,  I can't imagine a company buying a studio and sit on no returns for too long.

According to a comment on a Dualshockers article, SOE costed Sony $60 million last fiscal year thanks to poor performance. Supposedly, it was the major reason why Sony's gaming business lost as much money as it did. Can anyone verify? Don't have the time at work to research.

I've been seeing the same number repeated on gaf a lot, so more than likely it's correct.

End of an era.

Nah that'd only be if they were shutting down.

You'll still keep getting their games on pc.

From what I read they will be rolling out invites over time. It depends on when you signed up. Those who signed up earlier will get in sooner.
