kind of cool but the high amount of realism only makes me notice the flaws moreso.

0:42 - i immediatly felt the curtains were off. at that point you can clearly see the sets of curtains (left and right) are recycled assets.  the perfect reflection there is irksome.

1:30 - the texture on the radiator pops out.

2:00 - the  bottom right jar is jaggy

3:00 - the fact they can do any reflection in the mirrors is neat but the fact they had to add a blur to it breaks immersion.

thoughout - the camera was very "snappy".  it didn't flow at all like my view of the world really does as a walk though a room.  i know all games have this but in this particular video it made me feel sick to my stomach a bit.

meh

For being a pre baked "tech demo," it wasn't that technically impressive. Plus it visually wasn't that impressive either. Yeah it looks super good, but it looks nothing like reality. Just goes to show how art style is still really important in realistic games. Without a surreal art style, modern graphics just fall in to the uncanny valley.

Was that running on PC?  P.S. did Epic release any footage of the engine running on the Xbox One?   The lava demo was mysteriously absent from the One.

Of course it was PC. This won't be possible until next gen...if that, on consoles.

It has to be.  It's Unreal 4.  They don't do the impossible until Unreal 5.

I was super impressed the first time I played TLoU.  The house was insane.
This isn't 2 or 3 generations better than TLoU.
