It feels like they are building towards something else for the modern day with someone new but knowing ubi it won't go anywhere

I figured Basim was gonna be new modern day but who knows what they are planning with that

I have yet to do literally any quests once the open world started, so don't spoil too much!

Hehe did you ever finish AC Odyssey?

Spoiler for Hidden:
That was weird. Modern day character discovers atlantis, your 2 thousand year old assassin greats you in the flesh. I have no idea where they took that story in Valhalla. Didn't play it.

Oh nothing I've said pertains to this game. Lol

Basim is from Valhalla and mirage and there's a specific thing that happens in Valhalla with Basim

There's actually a good amount of modern day stuff that happened in Valhalla that is pretty important but I won't spoil it since you've never played.

Oh interesting. I don't know what turned me off valhalla. I could have easily borrowed my brother's copy but I didn't.

I guess I'm only ever allowed to play two ac games in a row.

Played bits of the old ones, never cared about finishing
Played ac3
Played ac4
Skipped sindicate and unity
Played origins
Played odyssey
Skipped valhalla and mirage
Playing shadows

You missed out on the most epic trilogy of AC games though. AC 2 is the GOAT of assassins creed.

Sadly it appears the developments they did with Valhalla for modern day are gone. Unless surprisingly they touch on it in shadows. But maybe Codename Hexe will bring it back since it's being developed by team that headed Valhalla

I have no idea which ones I played the most. I have strong memories of playing in a middle eastern country and some in italy, but AC3 was the first time I paid attention to the story. I own all four of those early ones.

edt: googled it, I think AC1 was the one I have the strongest memories of.

Yasuke finally joined my game. I was wondering if he was practically cut bc the whole game was just about the asian woman.

Also for just a second his health bar appeared at the top like a boss. I kept reloading to see if I could recreate that and fight him unscripted, but nope. Couldn't get him to come out of the cutscene trigger box.

Yup. AC2 was the GOAT of the series and sadly we haven't reached anywhere near that after the trilogy was done.

Im playing mirage right now and im fairly disappointed with it overall.

I liked Mirage as it felt more of the old style of assassins creed but blended in stuff from the newer games. It still lacked that vibe from the first games that made AC special.

I blame the whiny, bitchy gamers for AC turning into what it is today.  I still love the games, but just not as much.

I'd love to hear your extended thoughts on this
