Can NVidia go back to being a game company  ;D

First cryptomining wanted gpus, now ai wants gpus. The market now worries that ai won't need as many gpus as people expected.

i thought about bumping that stock thread but then thought no one but me would care.

nvida is still overpriced.   after losing soo much via trump's election it kind of feels good watching the market hardcore tank and my port be pretty much flat.   but yeah, down 17% in a day.   green after hours though so i wouldn't be surprised if it gain half that back tomorrow.   to be seen is if it is a dead cat bounce or a "market overreaction".   i don't trust china tbh but if DeepSeek really managed to hit comparable results with just 5.6 million in compute power than the whole tech AI market dominance narrative is a big fat lie.  it will be a bloodbath for nvida, ms, google, facebook, amazon, apple, telsa if china can leap frog them.

i wish i would have jumped on that band wagon when the AI boom started but i'm glad to not be riding that bandwagon today.

Yeah I'm going for overreaction. It's mooning back up in the aftermarket. Would've bought the dip if I had more to spare

I don't believe the hype with deepseek, but it's funny that nvidia would have the biggest dip here. These new thinking models still take a massive amount of compute to run.

Big problem for google, meta, and all the other ai guys though. Just another example that it's not too hard to catch up to sota models. Tesla self driving is different because no one else has enough data to train models.

It's up! Nvidia is saved!

Well barely up. Looks surprisingly stable. Looks like this will be the new normal for a while.

i watch stocks all day every day.  i saw it even if i didn't post again.  i absolutely predicted a rebound today in my post yesterday.  we'll see if we fully retread or if this is just a dead cat.

either way silicon has always been very cyclical and the current narrative if infinite growth will eventually fail and likely lots of people will lose lots of money buying the top.  >3T market cap is too much on a company with <100B in revenue annually.   once big tech stops expanding their data centers revenue will likely return to the <30B from 2 years ago.

look again again.  xD

-17%
+8%
-5% (at this moment)

not quite to the local bottom yet but we're closer to the day 1 bottom than the top from the day before.       ...we'll see where things go from here but I will say this: the AI summary of this stock I get from tradingview is:  "NVidia's shares surged 8.9% and 6.6% on consecutive days becoming the top performer on the dow and among the leading gainers on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq."

good job AI.   good job at being entirely incorrect summarizing the last 2 days of activity...

Hehe. It's mooning again in the AM. Seems to be a fight going on between people buying the dip and sellers panicking

mooning?

i see -4.10% in trading hours and -0.61% in afterhours.    the trading hours was basically losing yesterday's gains.   i would call afterhours effectively flat.  was it mooning earlier?  without looking into why it would seem telsa earning slightly impressed while MS earning slightly disappointed.   got to go cook dinner now so that's all i can say for the moment.

In-fighting. Yeah it was up almost 3 percent in the early aftermarket. Buy when around 100  :P
