Version 13 is here. Now that Tesla's can shift into reverse when self driving, they're almost all set for humans to be irrelevant.

Version 13 is a huge upgrade of everything. This youtuber says it is smoother than any uber they've ever been in and the video backs that up. Shows an example of an oncoming car coming from behind a blind corner and the Tesla just smoothly adjusts instead of jerking sideways or reflexively hitting the brakes.

This is also only the first semi public version of V13. It is still in testing and will get a lot of improvements before it goes out to regular drivers.

Also this is the first FSD version that utilizes the improved cameras newer Teslas have. Will be interesting to see how it runs on older cars once they finish porting it (old cars will get a free hardware upgrade if it isn't good enough for true human free self driving).

Pretty good memory. It saw the other car when it was backing up and waited for it before going around the fedex truck. And the next update increases its context window 3X.

I really want to know how the neural nets are set up. There has to be some persistent memory, such as knowing the speed limit. Is that hardcoded are can the brain decide what it wants to never forget?
