Quote from: Legend on Jun 10, 2024, 06:12 PMGears is not going to be a next gen exclusive lol. Yeah I could see Microsoft starting next gen early since they literally announced the next gen yesterday, but that'd just make Gears a cross gen title.

If the omission is a sign of something, it's that series s is getting dropped. EDT: the blog post also lacks platforms, yeah I bet series s won't be mandatory in the near future.
i don't think anyone thinks it will be a nextgen exclusive.   ...but if it launchs after the next gen launches it will still belong to that next gen collection of releases.   cross gen is obvious if it launches in the 1st half of next gen.   cross gen periods will get longer not shorter imo.

so to clarify,.. when i say "won't be ready for current gen." i mean won't be ready for the period of time in which next gen hardware doesn't exist.   ..not won't be able to be played on current gen hardware.

If it's cross gen and on series s, why not just announce series x/s and pc today?

It looks pretty decent. Outer Worlds wasn't amazing but it was fun. I'm looking forward to what they can improve.

What a fudgy hypocrite. Xbox pioneered that technique. And then Phil himself bought one third of the Industry just to kill Sony and deny their fan base games. Was starfield not coming to PS5 not slimy? How about hell blade 2, you know the game that originally launched on playstation? How about Tomb raider which was part of Xbox's "best lineup ever".
