Quote from: Legend on Aug 19, 2024, 08:12 PMWow just a 6 month exclusive window? That's really bad.

Indiana Jones is a known brand so maybe that impacts things but this game was never on PlayStation. If it's coming over then what won't come over? Starfield certainly will happen once it gets enough updates for the internet to like it.
indie got delayed to feb 24, 2025 on xbox.  If its "first half" of ps5 then this is less than 6 months exclusive window.  Probably like 3.

Avowed is feb 18, 2025. Indi is December still. It's in the tweet.

QuoteMicrosoft and Phil Spencer are really good at making their own problems seem universal.

Starfield will come once the game is "redeemed" with patches and stuff.

When do yall think other new games will come?

Hellblade 2: seemingly sold very poorly, is it even worth it?
Avowed: 1 year later on PS5
The Outer Worlds 2: day one on PS5, just like the new Doom
South of Midnight: I think it'll stay exclusive unless xbox gets a "port everything" policy
Clockwork Revolution: stay exclusive unless xbox gets a "port everything" policy
Perfect Dark: 3 month window
Blade: 3 month window
Fable: 1 year later
Gears: day 1 because it's still many years away and as a multiplayer game they'll want everyone playing together

as of now fable is the only xbox game i'm genuinely excited for.   would love for it to come to ps5 even if it is late.

QuoteIndeed, trusted sources have indicated to me that Sea of Thieves has crossed a million sales on PlayStation since its launch over there, and is most likely higher still since this information came to me. The game is currently selling for $40, so even when you disregard in-app purchases from the Sea of Thieves emporium, that's at least around $40 million dollars additional income for Rare to hire and invest in growing that game out. You might wonder if the brand damage to Xbox is worth the income, though. Well, echoing previous comments made to investors by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, it doesn't seem to be having a material impact on the growth of total Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S console players — at least for now.

that's a pretty fudgy loaded statement.   in the video above spencer was talking about "learning" from the first 4.

...if the lesson they learned is that xbox gamers that already own the hardware and probably have multiple years of gamepass already subscribed to didn't burn their hardware in a dumpster so this stategy is okay i just don't know what to tell you.   of course existing owners are going to ride out the generation.   what other choice is even reasonable?!?

their consoles sales are practically non-existent this year.   they aren't going to get the "feedback" they apparently require until the next xbox is DoA i guess...

Pretty funny if the people in charge actually think that.

No wonder xbox hasn't been able to compete with playstation.

Blade will be day and date on PS5. Marvel knows how much their games sell on Playstation and they won't want to miss out on that.

QuoteAccording to Mr. Hate, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection are both slated for the multiplatform treatment, with each game launching on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. I can corroborate independently with our own sources that all of the above does seem to be true. It seems that Microsoft isn't stopping there, though.
QuoteTo that end, I've heard that also Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology, and potentially Gears of War 1 Ultimate Edition are all also slated for PlayStation 5 this year, although I'm unsure if that includes the Nintendo Switch 2. I would expect that it most likely does, if I had to guess that part.

not really interested in any of those games.  i'd likely get the MCC if the price was right just so I could participate in conversations but all of those games are pretty skippable for me.

i still need to pick up hi fi rush but what i'd personally want from xbox is:
- fable anniversary
- fable (the new one still to be released)
- forza horizon maybe.  it's probably not my thing but i'd likely give it a try.
- banjo kazooie nuts and bolts maybe.  would totally have been my thing back in the day.  did it age well?
- ori 1 and 2 (is that even applicable?  i know it didn't launch on PS but can MS even have any say over a port?)

i consulted a list of xbox games and i have to say that after 20 some years of time you'd think there was more to be excited about than this but this is everything for me.  there just isn't much to care about from xbox studios, imo.
