It's on equal pace to last Friday so doesn't look like demand has dropped that much.

Peak this weekend was 439k. Since we seem to have nothing else to talk about, what do yall expect the peak to be next weekend?

Similar if they introduce new gameplay stuff like mechs. Otherwise a minor drop

until the mech expansion drops i don't think we have anything too exciting to talk about.   ...but the player retention rate is pretty impressive.    having such a small drop WoW is good imo.   i've seen people at really high levels (>40).   i'm not sure how many hours that takes but i'm only at 13 and i've probably put in at least 20-30 hours.  so there must be people with >100 hours already sunk.

next week's high will probably be 400-430k.

i just want a unit sales number.   i really feel like we're already around 5 million across ps5/pc.   such an amazing launch a sequel to a game soo obscure this might as well be a new IP.

The director said on twitter it was almost 3 million sales like a week ago

Salss in the USA were up WoW in the second week, and up WoW in the third week.

I think sooner rather than later this game will be at 5 million. Overall, I think this game will end up being a huge financial success for Sony unless they fudge it up somehow. They can rejuvenate it if need be by offering it on PS+ essential, then later on by offering it on PS+ premium, ans eventually going the free to play route. Still, doesn't seem like it would need any of those soon, it just needs updates and more content.

He was ambiguous about it.
Some people were interpreting the meaning as "it's higher than that"

Yeah that's definitely more than 3m. Otherwise he would just use the eyes

Legend

I'd assume it's roughly around 10 million if PS5 and Steam are 1 to 1.

Next week I predict 424k for peak.

Probably 5m+ imo. Didn't that Pokémon clone have 15m sales with something like 2m active?

25m sales.

kitler53

yeah, i would take that tweet to mean "higher" but regardless that is cryptic and not something we can take as confirmation of anything.

...c'mon legend.   it's not 10 million yet.   don't be crazy optimistic.

It's ~5 million on steam as a rough ballpark.

Take the concurrent players and add them up for every time slice. Then you have the total amount of player hours for a game. Divide that by the average playtime which can also be calculated from steam, and you have an approximation of how many people own the game. Average that with a few other methods and you get pretty decent predictions for the vast majority of large games.

seems too far to confirm they won't get acquired.   just that they have not already been acquired.

they can only be acquired if they want to be bought.    but with sony owning the helldivers IP i can't imagine them being acquired by anyone other than sony.   they simply aren't all that valuable without any IP.
