Shame. But I hope Sony learns from this and allows it's single player studios to focus on single player games going forward.

yeah, saw this on era.   feel kind of like a nothing-burger since this story was already told like... 4 months ago?   longer?   i can't remember when but i remember it breaking that bungie the GaaS tastemaker of sony game TLoU mp a thumbs down and the project was in limbo.

the way neil talked years ago makes me think sony didn't force ND into anything.   i think neil's ambitions (and perhaps arrogance) is what lead to this.

The project was being reassessed, and was still being worked on by a smaller team. This reporting talks about how a couple dozen contractors were let go and the multiplayer game seems to be completely on hold.

Haha dang. I really hope a playable build leaks because tlou multiplayer was fun. I really wanted to see what they were up to.

Can't imagine higher ups in ND are happy right now. Work hard on this for years only for Bungie to say they don't like it and get you canceled.
