Only exercise I hate at the moment is lateral raises. It just hurts lol. I wimp out before my muscles are 100% spent.
Heh I really like lateral raises. I do front, side, and rear all in a single set

I hurt my back yesterday at the gym yesterday, so I have to wait till tomorrow to get back.

On another note, there was this random Facebook page I used to be apart of, where some dude would suggest "supplements" and people would show off their weight loss and muscle gains.  It came back to my head and I went to see if I could find it since I stopped seeing posts from it.  The page was gone :/.  I come here to see the exercise group on the front page.  Weird how that worked out.

Give your back enough rest old man! One day off isn't that long.

I need to buy some multivitamins. Maybe that's what that dude was selling  ::)

The supplement industry is getting so out of hand anymore.

I got my first sub 60 time. But oh boy was my body not feeling good towards the end or after. I had to rush things and had to run with just an egg for breakfast. Was just not having any energy. Normally that last mile gets faster and faster as I push for every second, but today I was slowing down. Luckily I had a great first half.

Hopefully my next run is more enjoyable and I can do it on my schedule.

I'm such a late riser in the morning that I feel like I have to rush my workouts.  Even though I work from home it feels weird not getting online to work much past 9:30. Trying to get myself to at least start a workout by 8:15 or a little earlier.  My issue is I usually don't go to sleep until after midnight sometimes 1am.

And it's not that I'm tired in the morning, it's that that is the most comfortable time that I don't want to get up.

I actually like running.  I find it peaceful.

Went to the gym last night.  I set my alarm for 5:30 this morning.  I didn't actually get up in time to get to the gym, but it's a progress.  I've been setting my alarm for 6:30 so even getting up at 6:20 (I snooze a lot) is progress to get back into a routine.

I decided I need to eat more lol. Ran 8 miles, but actually had some carbs the day before, and I felt great. Ran 6 the other day, new pb of 58:40, but ran on empty and felt empty.

My single mile is down to 7:51.

Think I'm gonna do both a 5k and 10k next month. Then a half marathon some day.

Just fun actually being "healthy." Been nothing but a slob post high school.

kitler53

just finished running a 5k with my daughter.  not sure what happened,.. 2 years ago she was fastest in her age bracket running it in about 30 min.  today we were practically last at 46 min.   I didn't even break a sweat we were so slow.

Just finished my first real race! 5k in 28:35

Got 7th out of 20 for my age/naughtiness division. Very very happy with that!!!

Was crowded and not at all like my practice runs. 474 people total. First half mile was just weaving past people to get to runners that were about my pace. Rest was just ever so slowly passing some people and getting passed by others. Glad I decided to run while holding my phone with a pacing app because it would have been so easy to just stick with people vs go slightly faster than them.

Womp womp

I stepped on a nail!!! And bolderboulder, my goal for months that has driven me to be healthy, is tomorrow!

Went kinda deep and had my shoe filling up with blood. A ok now but I don't know if I'll even be able to walk the 10k. :P

kitler53

that sucks but getting/being healthy should be the goal not a specific event.  event driven goals makes it easy to fall of the wagon.

don't sweat missing this event and find a new one to participate in once your foot is healed.  just keep going.

Oh no that's not a worry. I've already set my sights on a full marathon next year.

Just really funny timing.
