I don't think Nintendo fans have ever played portal

So all I've been hearing about around the Web lately is how unique and inventive Splatoon is. It seriously just looks like a simpler Portal. Especially in the later stages of Portal. Just add bullets in Portal and BAM a even more complexer version of Splatoon.

Portal lacked pvp though.
Hence the "add bullets" part. Seriously though the paint splats are used like the Portals and Portal even gets colored gel that does unique things in the end and you can just spray and pray the level exactly like Splatoon

It's not about the bullets, but the change in goal. Portal is a game against the system itself. You solve puzzles. That's it.

Also, is there something I'm missing about Splatoon's ink blobs? How is it even remotely close to the gels in Portal 2? The Unfinished Swan is a million times closer, and yet both games are still vastly different.

you don't see similarities between splattering the ground with paint to transverse a level and splattering the ground with different colored sciency shame to transverse a level?

Well, more games have done that I believe, like De Blob

There was no gel in Portal 1.
but using a gun to make it to one platform to another by using either a portal or paint is a very similar concept. In the link I provided in the order thread there is someone praising splatoon and dismissing TLoU. TLoU has just as much innovation

Lol. Well, they are different games. One is a cinematic masterpiece and the other has no such elements basically so it's all about the mechanics.

Mechanics we have seen before. And thats the point. They just introduced a fun way to transverse a level in a cartoony world. And they are completely different. But to act like one is innovative while the other isn't is a joke.

What transversal is there in splatoon? You can move faster through yours and slower through the enemies. Isn't that it?

a shallow MP when compared to Cod or TF or even Evolve. And a shallow SP when compared to TLoU or any other game not MP only
