Did you know that a gigabyte is 1,000 megabytes?


So stupid I know. Back in 1998 they thought it was confusing how bytes used metric names but where powers of 1,024 instead of 1,000, so they officially declared them at 1,000. A kilobyte was renamed to a kibibyte, a megabyte was a mebibyte, gigabyte a gibabyte, terabyte a tebibyte, ect. I'm so glad outside of hard drives no one follows their rules.
